I have decided to post this article which I have written back in January after I was released from Kaliti prison, where I stayed for two full month without any charges and trail. Like any Ethiopian, I have experienced injustice in the hands of inhuman federal prison guards. I have never dreamt to flee Ethiopia until I was obliged to do s. I used all the resources to save my life. We are 3 brothers and 2 sisters, among whom one of them was killed by security agents one week before I was put in jail. Two of my brother also fled the country.
Soon after I was released I left Ethiopia. I was helped by someone who had job with foreign company. I got married just to get out of the country. I ended up living with this person for 2 years. He made me a house keeper which was another imprisonment. Finally I decided to leave him andwent back to Ethiopia hoping that things may work out. I decided to take risk while trying to pursue further education in Addis Ababa University.
