    The two-time Professional Fighters Leaguelightweight champion announced his retirement from mixed martial arts in November, doing so with a pair of million-dollar pursues in tow. Aubin-Mercier made his debut with a 58-second submission of Guy Poulinat a Ringside MMA event on Oct. 21, 2011 and compiled a 21-5 record as a pro. All five of his losses resulted in decisions and took place across his 12 appearances in the Ultimate Fighting Championshipbetween April 2014 and July 2019. Aubin-Mercier signed with the PFL after parting ways with the UFC and proceeded to rattle off 10 consecutive victories before calling it a career.

    Olivier Aubin-Mercier, né le à Montréal, est un combattant professionnel canadien d'arts martiaux mixtes (MMA) depuis 2011. Il combat avec l'Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) de 2014 à 2019, dans la catégorie des poids légers. Il combat actuellement dans la Professional Fighters League (PFL), depuis 2020.

    Jeunesse

    Dans sa jeunesse, Olivier Aubin-Mercier pratique dans un premier temps le taekwondo, à l'école primaire. Puis, il pratique le judo et ses parents l'inscrivent dans le programme sport-étude, au début du secondaire, après avoir beaucoup hésité car il ne pratiquait le judo que depuis un an[2]. Durant sa première année, il connaît des débuts difficiles dans la discipline et enchaîne les défaites avant de terminer deuxième aux Championnats canadiens, l'année suivante[2]. Il progresse rapidement jusqu'à atteindre l'élite canadienne et entre en équipe nationale.

    À 21 ans, alors qu'on lui propose une somme d'argent considérable pour passer une deuxième année au sein de l’équipe nationale, il refuse car il souhaite s'essayer à d'autres sports de combat. Il commence par le jiu-jitsu brésilien avec son entraîneur, Richard Ho, qui a vu son potentiel et l'a accompagné
